All rentals have the same magnificent ocean, screened in windows, complete with private balcony and hammock, wi-fi, private shower with hot water, towels, linens, ceiling fans, kitchenettes, mini refrigerator, cook top stove, utensils, cups, pots, pans, toaster & coffee maker.

Currently, pricing is based on double occupancy and is subject to change at any time. Holiday rate will also change at any time. Rates do not include food from our restaurant or any of the merchandise we sell.

Cabins 1-3 will be an additional $10USD per night for the 3rd & 4th occupant. Cabin 4 price is based on quadruple occupancy. The 5th & 6th person will be charged an additional $10USD per person per night. Cabin 1 is 3 person maximum. Cabin 2&3 is 4 person maximum. Cabin 4 is 6 person max. Additional fees will be charged for occupancy greater than stated above and we reserve the right to cancel your reservation or move you to an additional room (if available) if you have more guests than the max allows.

Pacific Edge Eco Lodge & Retreat offers a tranquil and unique get away, featuring “million dollar” ocean and mountain views, 4 private bungalows, an onsite-breakfast only restaurant, a pool and lounge area, two lookout towers, spa services and yoga platform. We also have an art gallery located in our Rancho area that features local world famous handmade Borucan masks, hand woven bags and accessories. Coming soon : Pacific Edge shirts, hats, skirts, as well as hand made jewelry and local photography from our in house designer, Costa Vida Design and photographer, Costa Vida Photography.

We are located in Dominicalito (2k from Dominical proper), only 30 minutes south of Manuel Antonio. We are 3 hours from San Jose Airport. Shuttle Services are available upon request. In Dominical, you can enjoy the surf and beachy vibes or our unique town, or spend your day exploring and walking the “Whales Tale” at Marino Ballena National Park, 15 minutes south. There are many amazing restaurants in the area from Dominical, Uvita and Ojochal. This area is known as the “Culinary Capital” of Costa Rica. You can also visit Villas Alturas to check out their Wildlife Sanctuary which is only 5 minutes south and the next mountain over.

For those that are not aware, Pacific Edge Eco Lodge is also our home and we live on site, next to the common areas and closest to Cabin 1. It’s myself, Michaelynn, My husband Sid and our daughter Kaiya. We are here to help you when needed but we also don’t want to be intrusive; so that you may enjoy the magical surroundings on your own. We are grateful to be able to share this beautiful space with each of you and we sincerely love meeting and making new friends from around the world. If you need something at any time, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Breakfast Only: We currently are offering breakfast only and not included in room pricing. The menu is on the chalk board in the Rancho and will be updated weekly. Beers, sodas and cocktails are also available for purchase in the Rancho during sunset hours.

Stocked Room Refrigerators: During the year we will supply each room with liquor, local beer, sodas and munchies for your convenience. The price of each product is on the rack card. Anything that you consume will be charged to your bill. If you would like to opt out of this service, please let us know at booking.

Excursions: We are available to help you plan and book all of your tours or connect you with local tour guides for any of the adventure excursions. We can accommodate up to 16 guests for your all inclusive destination wedding, elopement or vow renewal, yoga, wellness or business retreats, family reunions or special event. Please email us for special event or group rates. Also special rates to block out all four bungalows.

Housekeeping: As an environmentally conscious hotel, sheets, linens and towels are changed every 4th day or upon request. Please let us know the day before if you would like your room cleaned so we may set up cleaning service for you. We do have recycling bins in the rancho for your convenience. We do not enter your room, unless requested as your privacy is of the uptmost importance to us.

Booking: Rates on site do not include 13% sales tax. At time of booking, management reserves the right to withhold deposit, per their discretion, at time of reservation. Online booking requirements as follows: 100% payment taken during booking. If you would like to pay only 50% of the reservation now and then the remaining 50% is due at check-in, please email us first so that we may send you a separate link. 100% charge is required during the holidays (Easter Week) (US Thanksgiving) (Christmas and New Years – Dec- 15th-Jan 15th) If you book directly on the website you will pay 100% of the booking reservation. Please email us at [email protected] for any questions. You may also extend your stay if our rooms are available. Please understand that sometimes our guests ask for a specific room. So if you extend your stay you might need to change rooms to accommodate a previously booked guest. We are more than happy to help you with the transition from one room to another.

As of 2022, Children under 12 are not allowed at this time unless all cabins are booked out for a friend or family reunion/ wedding/ event etc. We are built on the top of a natural mountain ridge and unfortunately there are too many areas that young children could be injured or hurt. If you choose to book all of the rooms for a special event ie: family / friends reunion, wedding etc. then they will be allowed on case by case basis. Please message us first to discuss before booking. If you do book out the entire property for your event, family reunion etc, children need to have adult supervision at all times. If a guests shows up with children under the age limit and without prior approval, we have the right to refuse accommodations and there will be no refund for your stay. **If you have stayed with us prior with your children and would like more information on this policy, please contact us directly.

No Pets: We do have pets of our own ( a jungle cat named Simba and super friendly dogs named Otis, Ozzy and Owen) so unfortunately we can not accommodate pets at this time. If you have a dog, please e-mail us at we can help to find you suitable accommodation for your furry friends. IF you are not comfortable with dogs or cats, please let us know immediately so we can cancel your booking.

No Smoking: We are a non smoking facility. Please smoke outside of the property on the main road. Since we are open air cabins the smoke blows in all directions and is usually filling up others rooms. We kindly ask to please smoke in the designated area only. If you smoke on the porch or in your room there will be a $500 fine applied to your credit card.

  • Rates DO NOT include 13% sales tax.
  • Check-in time is 3:00pm – 6pm. During Season December – May there will be NO EARLY check ins. Reception closes at 7pm. Check-out time is 9:30am. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur an additional charge in the amount of $25.00 – $50.00 additional fee on your bill depending on season and day of the week.
  • The maximum guests in our bungalows are as follows: Bungalow #1, up to 3 guests, Bungalow #2, & #3, up to 4 guests, Bungalow #4 up to 6 guests. A $10 charge for guests over two per bungalow with the exception of Bungalow #4, which is a $10 charge for guests over four. Check-in time is 3:00pm, but we are sometimes flexible with that time frame, so please check before your arrival. Check-out time is 9:30. You may also ask for an extension if we are not booked for that day. On the day of check out, if you have plans for that morning you may leave your belongings safely with us, in the Rancho, so that you don’t need to carry them with you. Late check-outs are subject to availability and will incur an additional charge. Late check outs will be an additional $30 for the first 2 hours and additional $10 per hour after the 2nd. This is subject to change at our discretion.
  • Pool and Rancho area close around 7pm. We have a very relaxed and tranquil atmosphere and we want to be considerate for all our guests.
  • NO VISITORS: Guests are not allowed to have visitors on the property unless permission has been requested beforehand. This is simply to protect all our guests and to maintain the tranquil ambiance of our property.
  • Under no circumstance will other practitioners, healers, shamans be allowed on our property without prior verbal and written consent. Psychedelic drugs, ie ayahuasca, kambo etc or illicit drugs will not be allowed at Pacific Edge Eco Lodge as our liability insurance will not cover the use of these alternative medicines / drug use on our property. This is not a ceremonial refuge (although I can certainly see its appeal to do so) for those seeking alternative medicinal treatments. Unfortunately there is no guarantee on the outcome of someone’s “experience, trip, journey” and this is first and foremost our home. Your safety, the safety of our other guests and our own family comes first. If you have a responsible and professional shaman or practitioner to guide you through this experience, they should have their own ceremonial venue to do so. It will not be here at Pacific Edge. We do reserve the right to ask any guest violating this policy, to leave immediately from our property without a refund. Please be mindful and respectful of all our guests here at Pacific Edge. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Valuables: Management declines all responsibility for valuables left in the bungalows. Each bungalow does have its own safety deposit box, so please leave your passports, cash, jewelry and valuables in them when you leave. There is a $100 charge for lost safe keys.
  • All reservations MUST be confirmed by credit card and to present a photo ID at time of check in. You may pay in cash (room plus tax) when checking in/out. There is a local ATM and bank in Dominical & Uvita.
  • Cancellation Policy: There is no refund if cancellation is made 30 days or less prior to the reservation date. When cancellation notifications and / or date change requests are received 31 days prior to the reservation, a 75% charge of total booking may apply and a $50 processing fee per room will be charged plus cc fees. Unless other arrangements have been made with management and you have received an approval code, the policy above applies. This includes date change requests. Payment will be forfeited if guest(s) arrive after the specific date of reservation or departs prior to final day of reservation. Please communicate with us and we will do our best to accommodate or change reservations if you missed a flight, etc but it is highly advisable to pay for travel insurance so that you will be covered for any emergencies during your travels. If we are able to rebook your accommodations, then we will consider refunding you once we receive said funds. ALL CANCELLATIONS need to be sent via e-mail or call us to receive a cancellation verification code. A cancellation is NOT confirmed until you have received an email confirmation with a verification code from us directly. If booking through an online platform other than directly through us, we can not guarantee how long it will take for the funds to be re-deposited back to your account. Refunds may take up to 45 + days or more depending on refund approval. Please be aware of this before booking. We do take cash payments at check out, if you prefer but we will still need a credit card to reserve your booking and for incidentals during your stay with us.

CANCELLATION CONSIDERATIONS: IF we are able to rebook during that time you cancelled, we will consider waving the service fees. We are a small boutique hotel with minimal rooms so we might not be able to rebook your room in that short amount of time. With that being said, it is under our discretion to refund or waive any fees associated with a cancelled booking. Please consider our insurance option or booking your own travel insurance in case you need to cancel. No shows/No calls will NOT be waived. Please contact us immediately if you have problems with making your reservation time slot. If you are cancelling due to a positive COVID test or illness, please contact us with your insurance policy information, proof of your positive COVID test results and your cancelled flight information. Then we can help guide you to file a claim with your insurance. Cancellation refunds will not be considered unless you provide these documents. We will do our very best to accommodate you but please understand we are a small family run business and this is our livelihood. We do not have the same leniences as the larger establishments.
